
ATM Machines
PNC Bank or Industrial Bank Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) are located on all levels of Nationals Park behind Sections 106, 120, 134, 141, 213, 235, 242, 302 and 318, as well as on the outside of the Center Field Plaza. Guests experiencing any problem related to an ATM should contact their financial institution. Neither the Nationals nor Nationals Park employees have access to the ATMs.
Bags And Backpacks
No bags larger than 16x16x8 will be allowed into Nationals Park. All bags are subject to inspection. Guests are prohibited from bringing hard containers into Nationals Park.
Gate Opening Times
For all Nationals home games, the Center Field Gate will open 2 1/2 hours prior to first pitch. At this time, guests will have access to the Red Porch, Exxon Strike Zone, select center field sections to watch batting practice and concession stands. All other gates will open 1 1/2 hours prior to first pitch. All gate opening times are subject to change
Children
Children under two years of age are not required to have a ticket to enter Nationals Park. If attending without a ticket, they must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.
Elevators and Escalators
There are three (3) sets of elevators and three (3) sets of escalators at Nationals Park. Elevators are located behind Section 113 for access to all levels, behind Section 120 for Lexus Presidents Club, Stars & Stripes Club and Press Box access, and behind Section 134 for access to all levels.
Exit And Reentry Policy
Guests may not exit and reenter Nationals Park using the same ticket. However, in the event of an emergency, guests should contact a gate supervisor, who may permit a guest to re-enter Nationals Park at the same gate. Guests who leave Nationals Park at any time (without the authorization of a gate supervisor) will not be permitted to re-enter
Fan Interference
It is illegal to touch, attempt to touch or generally interfere with a ball in play or a player during a game. Any guest doing so will be ejected from Nationals Park.
First Aid And Medical Services
There are three (3) First Aid locations inside of Nationals Park located behind Sections 107, 131 and 312. EMTs are inside the ballpark and ready to respond to emergencies. Guests requiring First Aid assistance are urged to contact any member of the Nationals game day staff or report to any Guest Services locations.
Foul Balls, Homerun Balls And Bats
All guests are asked to stay alert throughout the game for foul balls or bats that might leave the playing area. Guests are permitted to keep all foul and home run balls that are hit into the seats, but are asked to be cautious and courteous to others when collecting a ball. Bats entering the stands must be returned if requested by the Nationals or Visiting Team. Guests are prohibited from throwing balls back onto the field. Violators are subject to ejection or possible arrest. Any guest that interferes with a ball in play or the game in any way is subject to ejection from the Nationals Park.
Gate Locations
Nationals Park has several gate locations for entry and exit, including Center Field Gate with entry access on N Street; Left Field Gate with entry access on South Capitol Street; Third Base Gate with entry access on South Capitol Street; Home Plate Gate with entry access on Potomac Avenue; and First Base Gate with entry access on Potomac Avenue. Right Field Gate located on First Street is for EXIT ONLY.
Will Call
Nationals Park offers a variety of methods for guests looking to pick up or leave tickets at will call.
- On game days, the Nationals Park Main Box Office located at the Center Field Gate is specifically set up for online and phone orders purchased through Tickets.com or Nationals.com, front office and third-party will call. Fans looking to drop off tickets for late arriving guests should fill out a will call envelope and leave the tickets at the Main Box Office.
- Nationals player, visiting player, coaches and umpire tickets can be found at the Club, Suites & Media Entrance Box Office located behind home plate at the corner of Potomac Avenue and South Capitol Street.
Ground Rules
- Ball on the top step (lip) of the dugout is in play.
- No equipment is permitted to be left on the top step (lip) of the dugout. If a ball hits equipment left on the top step it is dead.
- A player is not permitted to step or go into a dugout to make a catch.
- A player is permitted to reach into a dugout to make a catch. If a player makes a catch outside the dugout and the player’s momentum carries him into the dugout, then the catch is allowed and the ball remains alive as long as the player does not fall while in the dugout. See Rule 6.05(a).
- A batted ball in flight can be caught between or under railings and around screens.
- A catch may be made on the field tarp.
- Batted or thrown ball lodging in the rotating signage behind home plate or along first base or third base stands is out of play.
- Batted or thrown ball resting on the rotating signage behind home plate or along first base or third base stands is in play.
- The facings of railings surrounding the dugout and photographers areas are in play.
- Any cameras or microphones permanently attached on railings are treated as part of the railings and are in play.
- Any recessed railings or poles that are in the dugout and photographers areas are out of play and should be marked with red to mark them out of play.
- Robotic cameras attached to the facing of the backstop screen are considered part of the screen.
- A batted ball striking the backstop camera is considered a dead ball.
- A thrown ball striking the backstop camera is considered in play.
- A ball striking the guy wires that support the backstop is a dead ball.
- A ball lodging behind or under canvas on field tarp is out of play.
- A ball striking the field tarp and rebounding onto the playing field is in play.
- No chairs can be brought out of the dugout or bullpen and onto the playing field.
- All yellow lines are in play.
